Country names and codes
The formal name is Commonwealth of the Great Southern Cross. CGSC is the abbreviation and Southern Crosses the informal national name. The national registry uses GC and GSC as its short identifiers. They describe this registry and are not evidence of a completed external standards registration.
Internet namespace
The national namespace is .gc, with government, public education and defence functions separated under controlled second-level categories. Existing .au and .nz names are retained as legacy identity and transition arrangements within the national record. .sc is not reused because it belongs to Seychelles in the international namespace. No website, live DNS service or real domain delegation has been provisioned by the wiki.
Telephone numbering
The national plan combines +61 and +64 routing. +61 remains the principal Australian identity and +64 preserves New Zealand continuity across North and South Island and the Federal Pacific District. Explicit treaty cooperation with sovereign Malaysia enables shared routing and service interoperability involving +60. Malaysia retains that international calling code, its numbering authority and its territory. Singapore and other jurisdictions manage inherited numbers through documented transitions; the treaty does not automatically abolish every existing prefix.
Post and public networks
Postal and communications services use jurisdiction names and local addresses alongside national identification. Submarine fibre, coastal radio, satellites and protected terrestrial links support remote communities. Security-sensitive networks are separated from ordinary public internet functions rather than making every household communication a classified system.
Scope of the registry
The national internet namespace is .gc. CGSC, GC/GSC and CSD remain the country and currency identifiers in the national register. The telephone arrangement is a confirmed shared +61/+64 plan with explicit Malaysian +60 treaty cooperation. Neither an alliance nor routing interoperability changes Malaysia's sovereignty. The wiki records these conventions; it does not operate a domain registry or telephone network.
